Teodora & Mike's favorite moves (Lvl 2)

Come and explore with us what kind of fancy moves we have and how we like to play around with the connection that is required to make them work. This class will be more technical, but no less fun than others! This class is open to anyone who knows their basics (incl. Swingout) in and out. If you have done this class you can join level 3 where we are gonna be building further on the technique that we have introduced here.

Connect & Improvise (LVL 3)

We love to share with you how we use stretch and compression for the purpose of improvisation. This way you can bounce off each other's energy and turn it into something special yourself. You need to be well familiar with the use of stretch and compression in your dancing. This class is open for intermediate & advanced dancers and people who have followed the level 2 class.

Slow Lindy Hop

Slow Lindy Hop is exactly what is sounds like, it’s Lindy Hop on slower music! On slower tunes it might be difficult to keep consistent rhythm, footwork, stretch and connection. This is exactly what we will be working on here, so you can comfortably dance in all tempo’s and show off your moves of this years party! This Slow Lindy class is a beginner course, open to anyone with a couple of Lindy or Blues classes experience.

Teacher TRaining

YES, That’s right! Teodora and Mike love spreading the Lindy vibes! What better way of doing that than to help our teachers teach! We would love to share this opportunity with other teachers that want to improve their teaching skills. Therefore, this workshop is open to anyone that teaches regularly at their association. (Limited places available)

The Swing Rhythm club

Based in Utrecht, Netherlands, The Swing Rhythm Club brings great energy and the hottest Jazz and Swing tunes to any crowd and any party. Composed of musicians from Colombia, France, Monaco, Spain, The USA, and The Netherlands, this band finds unity in a shared love for playing music that you simply cannot help but dance to.

On stage, Natalia sings her heart out, always moving and dancing to the beat of her fellow musicians. Andrew on the drums, and Nacho on the double bass, are the keepers of rhythm and time.

Alexis on the guitar, and Jasm on the piano, make all tunes sound bright and alive. And on the saxophone, Jackson completes the sound of the band with powerful melodies.

Strongly influenced by Gypsy Jazz and New Orleans Jazz styles, The Swing Rhythm Club specializes in Swing music from the 1920’s to the 1950’s. We love to play a range of tempos, from slow to fast, to ensure a happy dance crowd.

Teodora Kasabova

Teodora is a swing fanatic with enormous curiosity about the ways people learn and the positive ways in which dance influences us mentally and physically. As a teacher, she combines her infectious enthusiasm for swing with her sharp analytical approach of an ex corporate lawyer. She is a small force of nature that knows how to challenge her students while having fun all the way.

Teodora especially loves live music and is always ready to bring the party vibe! She works closely with musicians, loves to dig deep into what makes us swing, and will happily get nerdy about jazz history. Please grab the chance to chat with her as she is sure she can learn something from you as well.

Teodora owns a swing dance organization in Amsterdam and is passionate about bringing swing dancers and jazz musicians together. She is deeply invested in building the Dutch Lindy Hop scene in a sustainable way, and she takes pride in that her students keep coming back for her classes.

Mike Sonder

Mike combines his knowledge of music, functional anatomy, physics, and a plethora of dance forms to create classes that are uniquely insightful, inspiring, and challenging. Mike strives to put himself in his students’ shoes so that he can teach as intuitively and thoroughly as possible. He loves seeing students’ eyes light up when they understand a concept or feel a movement work naturally in their body for the first time.

Mike has taught in 21 countries and counting. He currently teaches Lindy Hop, solo Jazz, air steps, many different Blues styles, Balboa, teacher training, and more. Mike has not only placed in and won respected competitions across multiple genres but also thrown down hard in unofficial late night dance-offs.

Mike lives and breathes dance. He is constantly honing his skills and developing new ideas. If you run into him at a grocery store, an airport, a museum, or a mountain top, you’ll probably catch him dancing.
